Their mission is to normalise the conversation around our minds, raising awareness and funds for good causes through the curation of relative means such as fashion, visual arts and words.

Expect all of the above in our Dreamy Place Launch programme, with a trade show-style event spotlighting local talent, including live demonstrations by a local martial arts gym and a selection of curated short films programmed by Lighthouse Young Creatives alumni: Erin James, Hazel Davis and Lara Antoine.

The afternoon will culminate with an engaging ‘group therapy session’ talk, featuring collaborators and members of the public.

Lightworks is part of the wider programme of Dreamy Place Launch Programme delivered by Lighthouse.

]]> Motion Cap Workshop /motion-cap-workshop/ Wed, 19 Oct 2022 15:35:00 +0000 /?p=1611 Alex Counsell (Technical Director) and Sam Birmingham (Studio Manager) for the Centre of Creative and Immersive eXtended Reality (CCIXR) at University of Portsmouth share their knowledge of motion capture.

As experts in immersive technologies, Alex and Sam – with the help of performer Callum Bowman – will present how this technology can be used in contexts like theatre and the arts – and the Centre’s role in supporting ambitious projects nationally.

The talk will be a great introduction to emerging multidisciplinary creatives who are excited by the potential of immersive technologies and game engines for use in their practice.
